What is it all about?

owl-50267_1280-eye-left

Aren’t there enough websites and books on language learning, translation or linguistics?

Well, maybe. There are several reasons for us to start this project:

owl-50267_1280-eye-right

We all live or lived in a foreign country and many of our friends do too. We love to learn the local language and to be involved in the local communities, rather than getting stuck in the expat ghetto. We all have  a lot of experience and love to share.

We’d love to get feedback on our project and learn new things ourselves, not only about language but also about culture.

More often  it helps to write things down in order to understand them better. That’s what we’ll do here.
